Mumbai To Be Under 6000 CCTV Surveillance Camera


The final section of Maharashtra Government’s determined Mumbai City police work Project (MCSP), comprising a half dozen (6000) CCTV cameras, is complete and can be launched in the month of October 2. As of now, around 2,000 of those 6000 CCTV area units are operating, a home department official told PTI. Larsen and Toubro (L&T) bagged the Rs 959 Cr contract of the State government for securing Mumbai with the CCTV Surveillance Camera. In Dec, Chief Minister Mr. Devendra Fadanvis inaugurated the primary section of this project with around, 1,381 CCTV’s installations at 434 locations in south Mumbai. The CCTV network can smooth the progress to maintain law and order, investigation, gathering proof and managing traffic of the town. Sensitive locations like Bombay judicature, Sassoon Dock, Bombay Stock Market, Crawford Market, railway junction, Girgaum Chowpaty and Nariman point were put under the network surveillance systems.
