It so often happens that during an emergency, elevators shut down completely, forcing many helpless people (read, the elderly, children and physically handicapped people) to be stuck and give up to the ruthless force of destiny. Hospitals and buildings especially have faced such problems and maybe a breakthrough is what the world really needs now.
